PRIME AE Group is seeking a Traffic Control Center Operator to support Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise from the Turkey Lake area.

Work in a fast‑paced, 24/7 operations center handling incident management, real‑time traffic information, and coordination with state agencies and field personnel.

The role requires strong multitasking, proficiency with two‑way radios and incident management systems, and the ability to respond calmly under pressure while maintaining public safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in a call center, control center, or real‑time operations environment.
• Ability to gather, analyze, and disseminate information from multiple sources.
• Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize under pressure.
• Proficiency using two‑way radio systems and incident management software.
• Ability to read and apply technical/operational guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV and other sources to detect and verify incidents.
• Enter, update, and manage incidents in the SunGuide database.
• Disseminate real‑time traveler information via ITS devices and alerts.
• Activate Amber, Silver, and LEO Alerts as required.
• Coordinate incident notifications with staff and emergency responders.
• Manage the RISC program timekeeping and documentation.
• Dispatch Road Ranger operators and verify safety on camera.
• Track fleet activity with AVL systems.
• Troubleshoot ITS devices and report outages to ITS Ops.
• Close OMS tickets related to roadway issues and maintenance.
• Provide after‑hours support for facilities issues.
• Maintain real‑time quality of public traffic information.
• Respond to public inquiries about road conditions and tolls.
• Conduct routine camera tours to identify incidents and events.
• Document maintenance activities for ITS contractors and review reports.
• Participate in monthly TMC meetings and coordination.
