Job summary

Metric Engineering, Inc. is seeking Part-Time Regional Transportation Management Center (RTMC) Operators in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The RTMC monitors roadways with ITS devices and coordinates with partner agencies to expedite incident response, promoting quick clearance and safe travel for Southeast Florida. We require candidates who can work various shifts, including day and night, weekdays and weekends, and who can pass a drug screen and FBI background check.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work various shifts from day-time to night-time, weekdays and weekends as operations are 24/7.
• Ability to work 8-12 hour shifts and up to 30 hours a week.
• Proficient computer skills are a MUST.
• Ability to work in a team, prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to pass a Drug Screen and FBI Background check.
• Dispatch or customer service experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor RTMC using ITS devices and FDOT software.
• Coordinate with partnering agencies to expedite incident response.
• Dispatch Road Rangers and monitor traffic operations 24/7.
