Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a subject matter expert to support real-time payments operations, including RTP and FedNow, and to ensure ISO 20022 compliance and risk controls across payment channels.

You will monitor activity, investigate exceptions, and partner with IT and cross-functional teams to implement enhancements while supporting ACH, wire, and related payment operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience.
• Relevant industry certification preferred (AFPP/APRP/AAP) or plan to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support for instant payments (FedNow, RTP) and related product improvements.
• Coordinate with IT and vendors to resolve payment processing issues and incidents.
• Assist with audit readiness, risk assessments, and compliance with ISO 20022 and Nacha.
