Job summary

The Faster Payment Coordinator at ORNL Federal Credit Union oversees real-time payment processing across RTP, FedNow, and Stablecoin to ensure secure, accurate, and timely settlements. You will monitor systems, resolve exceptions, review settlement reports, and enforce compliance with applicable regulations and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years member/customer service experience in a financial institution.
• Minimum 3 years knowledge of basic compliance and banking regulations.
• Ability to obtain AFPP/FPP within 2 years if not currently held.
• APRP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors high-volume real-time payments across systems to ensure completion within SLAs and regulatory compliance.
• Investigates, troubleshoots, and resolves payment discrepancies, denials, exceptions, and reversals; handles inquiries from employees, members, vendors, and other financial institutions.
• Coordinates with key stakeholders and provides management with insights for business updates.
• Reviews daily vouchers, daily report downloads, and settlements to ensure accuracy in payment posting.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
