RTX seeks a student at Goleta, CA to join an Agile team delivering real‑time embedded software for Advanced Sensors and Electronic Warfare programs. You will assist requirements analysis, design, and testing of real‑time applications on Linux/RTOS, with CI/CD tooling and hardware‑lab collaboration.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced STEM degree and entering junior, senior, or graduate standing by Summer 2027.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
• Experience in object‑oriented software development in C, C++, or similar languages.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools and configuration management tools (Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory).
• Familiarity with Linux environments and hardware/software integration.
• Hands‑on experience with device drivers or real‑time embedded/RTOS applications.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, multithreading, and memory management.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
• Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Join an Agile team developing, integrating, testing, and delivering real‑time embedded software for Advanced Sensors and Electronic Warfare programs.
• Support requirements analysis, software design, implementation, integration, and testing of new or existing real‑time applications and tools.
• Contribute to internal reviews of software components and systems.
• Follow established development processes including configuration management and CI/CD practices.
