Job summary

Raytheon in El Segundo, CA is seeking a software engineer for the Space and RF Sensors Software team. You will design, code, integrate, and test real-time embedded software for next-generation radar, sensor, guidance, and fire-control systems.

You will work across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, high-performance solutions. A STEM degree and C/C++ expertise are required; U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM from accredited institution by start date.
Experience developing, and testing or debugging software using C, C++, or similar object-oriented programming language
Real time embedded software development experience
Familiarity with computer scripting languages such as Python
Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving experience
Experience developing software in a team-based development environment with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain real-time embedded software for RF/radar sensing systems.
Design, code, unit test, integrate, and document software.
Collaborate in software peer reviews and technical decisions.
Work across the SW development lifecycle including SW/HW integration.
Support program execution to ensure work products meet baselines.
Follow established software processes to maintain product integrity.
