Job summary

RTX's Space and RF Sensors Software team in El Segundo seeks an Embedded Software Engineer II to design, code, integrate, and test real-time embedded software for radar, sensor, guidance, and fire-control systems.

You will work across the software lifecycle, participate in peer reviews, and collaborate with multidiscipli­nary teams to meet technical, cost, schedule, and quality baselines.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in STEM from an accredited institution, obtained by start.
• Experience developing, and testing or debugging software using C, C++, or similar OO language.
• Strong OO design knowledge and real time embedded software development experience.
• Experience with Python/Shell/Perl scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Git and GitLab for version control.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex technical problems and collaborate to provide innovative solutions.
• Requires investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop resolutions.
• Design, code, unit test, integrate, and document real-time embedded software solutions with a focus on RF, radar modes and sensing capabilities.
