Job summary

RSM US LLP’s Real Estate FaaS practice is seeking a Supervisor to manage transaction processing, month-end close, financial reporting and client interaction. You will work with CEO/CFO-level contacts and other professionals while coordinating with tax and advisory teams.

You’ll leverage cloud-based technology to optimize processes, lead a team of associates, and drive timely financial deliverables for private, middle-market real estate clients with diverse portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Experience in property-level accounting and finance functions.
• Experience working with property managers to resolve issues.
• Expertise with Real Estate technology systems (Yardi, MRI, etc.).
• Excellent communication across organizational levels.
• Ability to balance multiple responsibilities with strong analytical skills.
• Progressive accounting/financial management experience in real estate.
• Experience in FP&A, budgeting and forecasting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with automated accounting systems (Yardi, MRI, Blackline, FloQast, Basis).
• CPA is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as key point of contact for our clients.
• Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash and Month End Close cycles.
• Work in client technology environments and within the FaaS stack.
• Lead, manage and coach client services staff and senior staff.
• Support month end close including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare/Review monthly financial statements and variance analyses.
• Analyze financial information for management and provide insights.
• Identify opportunities to improve monthly operations and suggest improvements.
• Understand our technology stack and identify add-on processes and integrations.
• Document repeatable methodologies with tools and templates.
• Establish engagement budgets and manage engagement economics.
• Direct assessments, implementations and onboarding of new FaaS clients.
• Participate in meetings with prospects and in proposals.
• Oversee billings and collections of client invoices.
