Job summary

RSM US LLP's Real Estate Finance as a Service (FaaS) practice is seeking a Supervisor to support month-end close, financial reporting, and forecast processes for middle-market real estate clients.

You will interact with CFOs and controllers, lead client services teams, and leverage Yardi/MRI and other cloud-based tools to deliver accurate, timely statements. A Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and real estate accounting experience are required; CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Experience performing and reviewing property-level accounting and finance functions required.
• Experience working with property managers to resolve accounting issues and explain variances.
• Expertise in Real Estate technology systems (Yardi, MRI, etc.) is required.
• Excellent communication across all organizational levels.
• Progressive experience in real estate accounting roles (e.g., supervisor, controller, director).
• Experience in FP&A including budgeting and forecasting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Key point of contact for Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash and Month End Close cycles.
• Lead, manage and coach client services teams.
• Support the month end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare/Review monthly financial statements and variance analyses.
• Analyze financial information and provide actionable insights to management.
• Identify opportunities to improve monthly operations and processes.
• Understand technology stack and identify additional add-on processes.
• Document repeatable methodologies and engagement budgets.
• Oversee billing and collections of client invoices.
