Job summary

Goodwin Procter seeks an Attorney Development Manager to drive development and engagement for associates and timekeepers within an assigned cohort. You will solicit input from partners, provide actionable feedback, and guide performance decisions.

You will lead onboarding, resource allocation, and career progression, collaborating with leadership and practice groups to support hiring and development strategies.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree or equivalent legal education is preferred.
• Experience in attorney development, staffing, or workforce planning is highly valued.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day attorney development and engagement for assigned cohort.
• Lead onboarding and integration of new attorneys into the firm culture and workflows.
• Allocate resources and align staff with client work and firm priorities.
• Gather feedback and coordinate performance reviews and career progression.
• Provide strategic advisory support on hiring, onboarding, retention, and development.
