Job summary

Ampact's Reading Corps is seeking a Reading Tutor to help local students become stronger readers. You’ll work at a local school, delivering proven activities and coaching you every step of the way. Each day you’ll tutor pairs for 20 minutes, then rotate to the next pair and keep students engaged and progressing.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and online navigation).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure support.
• Track student progress and meet with the onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into data software.
• Commit to growth through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
