Job summary

Ampact’s Reading Corps seeks Reading Tutors to work at local schools, delivering proven reading Activities and coaching students through short daily sessions. Training is provided and guidance is available as you progress.

You’ll work with pairs of students for 20 minutes daily, track progress, and stay connected with a school on-site coach. Stipend-eligible AmeriCorps service supports growth and learning.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• Ability to follow instructions and use feedback to improve performance.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks like email and online navigation.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule for consistent support.
• Track student progress and meet with the school on-site coach.
• Enter student scores in data software and celebrate growth.
• Commit to growth through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
