Job summary

Reading Corps, powered by Ampact, is seeking Reading Tutors to work in Minnesota schools and help students become confident readers. Tutors will deliver proven activities, coach students daily, and track progress with an onsite coach.

Position offers 35 hours per week with daytime hours, Monday through Friday, in-school settings. AmeriCorps stipends apply, plus health insurance, child care assistance, and student loan benefits.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
