Job summary

Reading Corps, powered by Ampact, seeks a Reading Tutor to help students build reading skills in a local Minnesota school. You’ll deliver proven activities, coach students daily, and track progress with our onsite coach.

Positions run 2026-27, full-time AmeriCorps, about 35 hours per week, with a biweekly stipend of $18.89/hour and benefits including health insurance and college tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Must be dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, navigating online).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading and writing.
• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software
