Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks an Interventionist Teacher to deliver targeted reading and math support in small groups for students in 3rd–8th grade, with campus-based duties extending to younger and older cohorts as assigned.

You will use screening, Direct Instruction, progress monitoring, and intensive interventions to help close achievement gaps, in a grant-funded position emphasizing collaboration and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution.
• K-12 classroom experience preferred.
• State teaching certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach CSI instruction to small groups for 3rd–8th grade students at risk in reading/math.
• Teach small groups for Kinder-2nd grade (campus dependent) at risk in reading/math.
• Teach 9th–12th grade (campus dependent) at risk to graduate; collaborate with diverse student groups.
• Coordinate with general education teachers to support intervention.
• Implement standards and curricula to meet ambitious learning goals.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
