Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking an Interventionist Teacher in Texas to work with small groups of students in reading and math, focusing on closing gaps in 2+ years within a school year.

The role is grant-funded under Title I Part A with additional stipends and performance-based compensation; on-site duties include collaboration with general education staff and district-aligned interventions.

Qualifications

• High level of content-area proficiency in Math and/or ELA evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach CSI instruction for small groups in 3rd–8th grade, including students in various programs.
• Teach district-approved, research-based interventions for Kinder–2nd grade.
• Teach district-approved interventions for 9th–12th grade as assigned.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to coordinate support.
• Implement state standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
• Deliver content and curriculum aligned with core objectives and texts.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Use formal and informal assessments to track progress and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate student progress with families on a weekly basis.
• Utilize technology to support instruction and communication.
• Implement a clear behavior management system aligned with campus initiatives.
