Job summary

Reading Corps is a national tutoring program administered by Ampact. We are seeking Reading Tutors to work in local Minnesota schools on a part of a high-impact team that helps students build essential reading skills each school day.

As a tutor, you will guide two students for 20 minutes, follow a daily schedule, and track progress with on-site coaching. You’ll receive training and support while contributing to student growth and confidence.

Qualifications

• Dependable and have a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Ability to succesfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training
• Share your experience with the community
