Job summary

Ampact’s Reading Corps is seeking Reading Tutors in Minnesota to help students become strong readers. You’ll be trained to deliver proven activities and coached every step of the way, spending your days in local schools supporting learners and building their confidence.

Each school day includes short tutoring blocks, progress tracking with the school coach, and opportunities to grow through coaching and training.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Citizen or eligible resident of the United States with ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to provide consistent support.
• Track student progress and meet with on-site coach regularly.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores in data software.
• Commit to own growth through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
