Job summary

Alpha is hiring for a Learning Coach to guide K–3 students through app-based core literacy learning on-site. You will diagnose reading gaps, lead short literacy sessions with small groups, and drive daily goals within a structured campus routine.

The role requires 3+ years with children 4–9, 2+ years teaching reading in K–3, and completed structured-literacy training (or a master’s in literacy). On-site with relocation support; benefits include health coverage and a relocation allowance.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9.
• At least 2 years of that experience teaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training (LETRS, IMSE, Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, Fundations, UFLI, CERI, Neuhaus, SIPPS, or similar) or a master’s in reading or literacy.
• Bachelor's degree required; teaching certificate not required.

Responsibilities

• Coaching students through app-based core learning and spotting who is stuck.
• Running short structured-literacy sessions with 2–4 students and diagnosing gaps.
• Leading morning launch, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities.
• Driving students to weekly app goals with school currency and gamification.
• Staying with students through lunch, recess, and closing with a plan for challenging cases.
