Job summary

Alpha is hiring Learning Coaches to guide K-3 students through app-based core learning and targeted literacy sessions on-site at our campuses. You will diagnose decoding gaps, run short structured sessions for small groups, and support students through daily routines from launch to close.

The role emphasizes hands-on teaching, data-driven progress, and relocation support for campus placement. A Bachelor's degree is required, with structured literacy training or a Master’s in reading preferred.

Qualifications

• On-site work with relocation support.
• At least 3 years directly with children aged 4-9 (teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, etc.).
• At least 2 years teaching reading in grades K-3 within last 5 years or a master in reading/literacy.
• Bachelor's degree in any subject; teaching certificate not required.
• Comfortable guiding students through app-based learning (90%) and campus routines (10%).
• Willing to work with all K-3 students; legally authorized to work in the US (visa sponsorship not provided).

Responsibilities

• Coaching students through app-based core learning and diagnosing gaps.
• Running short literacy sessions with 2–4 students; teaching a designed sequence; check transfer.
• Lead morning launch, life-skills workshops, check-chart activities.
• Drive students to weekly app goals using leaderboards and gamification.
• Support students from launch to closing, addressing frustration with planned strategies.
