Job summary

Performance Food Group is hiring a Forklift Operator to support efficient warehouse operations. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to move inventory across cooler, freezer, and dry areas.

The role requires 6+ months in a warehouse setting, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check. Overtime and safety compliance are essential to daily duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or State approved equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift; lift 10–35 pounds and up to 60–90 pounds depending on location.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Operates material handling equipment, such as a forklift, pallet jack, reach truck, etc.
• Locates proper slot on storage racks, sets pallets in place with forklift or hand stacks items.
• Transports incoming freight to inventory and replenishes pick slots for next day work orders.
• Performs safety checks, follows company procedures, and completes paperwork at shift end.
• Maintains clean work area and reports unsafe conditions.
