Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Forklift Operator in a warehouse environment to move and store products, operate material handling equipment, and support efficient distribution flows. The role emphasizes safety, GMP compliance, and timely replenishment of stock.

The position requires the ability to work in cooler, freezer, and dry areas, with physical duties including lifting up to 90 pounds and standing for extended periods. Training provided, with benefits from Day 1.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6+ months warehouse or distribution experience.
• Ability to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly during shift.
• Ability to lift 60–90 pounds depending on location.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Must pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Locate proper slots on storage racks and position pallets with forklift or hand stack items.
• Locate and count incoming freight and transport to freezer using forklift/pallet jack.
• Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock per next day’s work orders.
• Rotate dated stock to the front and remove outdated inventory per policy.
• Disperse over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
• Remove empty pallets and inspect/stack pallets for storage area.
• Follow safety policies and maintain clean work area.
• Complete equipment safety checks and end-of-shift paperwork.
