Job summary

Global Medical Response’s REACH program is hiring a helicopter pilot for full-time medical air transport. You will work with a medical team to move patients safely, ensuring aircraft readiness and regulatory compliance.

Duties include maintaining documentation and coordinating with dispatch and crews. The candidate must hold rotorcraft FAA C Certificate, helicopter instrument rating, FAA medical certification, and meet extensive flight-hour requirements.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate.
• Helicopter instrument rating required.
• Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate.
• Minimum 2,000 total flight hours.
• Minimum 1,500 helicopter hours.
• Minimum 1,000 helicopter PIC hours.
• Minimum 500 turbine helicopter hours.
• 100 night hours unaided (or 50 unaided +100 aided).
• 75 helicopter instrument hours (50 in aircraft).
• Weight limit: 230 pounds with gear.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely with a medical team.
• Ensure aircraft readiness and compliance with FAR/REACH requirements.
• Maintain REACH and regulatory documentation accurately.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, crews, facilities, and partners.

Incentives

• Salary Range: $110,949-$122,044 including 25% Geographic Modifier
• 15K Sign-On Bonus, subject to eligibility
• Retention Bonus plans ($40,000 after 3 years plus additional retention bonuses once completed)

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and REACH requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
• Maintain accurate REACH and regulatory documentation and record keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording A REACH change board details
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training

Minimum Requirements

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate
• Helicopter instrument rating
• Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours
• 1,500 Helicopter Hours
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours
• 500 Turbine Helicopter Hours

Preferred Qualifications

• 200 Helicopter Instrument Hours Preferred, Including 50 in Aircraft
• EC135/H135 Aircraft Experience
• High School Diploma/Equivalent or Higher
