Job summary

Global Medical Response is seeking a Helicopter Pilot in California to support REACH medical air transport. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and teamwork to move patients quickly and securely between locations.

Qualifications

• Current rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate.
• Helicopter instrument rating required.
• Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate.
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours and 1,500 Helicopter Hours.
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours and 500 Turbine Helicopter Hours.
• 100 Night Unaided or 50 Night Unaided with 100 Aided hours.
• 230 lb weight limit with flight gear.

Responsibilities

• Transport customers as part of a medical air transport team.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatch, per manuals and REACH requirements.
• Maintain REACH and regulatory documentation and records.
• Communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Provide shift-change info to the next pilot and team per protocol.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

We’re hiring a Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transportation services for REACH customers. Safety is a key pillar of our services.

Incentives

• Salary Range:$119,825 -$131,807 including 35% Geographic Modifier
• 15K Sign-On Bonus, subject to eligibility
• Retention Bonus plans ($40,000 after 3 years plus additional retention bonuses once completed)
• 5K SPIFR Stipend
• On Duty Housing
• 7/7 Schedule

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and REACH requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
• Maintain accurate REACH and regulatory documentation and record keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording A REACH change board details
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training

Minimum Requirements

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate
• Helicopter instrument rating
• Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours
• 1,500 Helicopter Hours
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours
• 500 Turbine Helicopter Hours
• 100 Hours Night Unaided, or 50 Hours Unaided with 100 Hours Aided
• 75 Helicopter Instrument Hours with 50 in aircraft
• 230 pound weight limit with flight gear

Preferred Qualifications

• EC135/H135 Aircraft Experience
• High School Diploma/Equivalent or Higher
• 200 Helicopter Instrument Hours Preferred, Including 50 in Aircraft
