Job summary

Classic Salads in Yuma, AZ is seeking a Quality Control Raw Material Inspector to ensure incoming materials meet our quality specs. You will inspect, document, and calibrate equipment, and collaborate with QA to address deviations in a fast-paced production environment.

The role requires attention to GMP policies, safety, and the ability to work overtime in a cold environment. Bilingual Spanish/English skills and proficiency in MS Office are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2–5 years experience in Produce Quality Assurance.
• Bilingual: Spanish speaking, reading, and writing.
• Ability to read simple English instructions; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Willing to travel to Yuma, Arizona during winter months (mid-November to end of March).

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all GMP policies and food safety requirements.
• Inspect incoming raw materials against specifications.
• Calibrate scales and thermometers; document calibration.
• Notify QA Supervisor of deviations.
• Maintain Raw Material Inspection logs and file accordingly.
• Compare Receiving Log to Raw Material Log to ensure inspection.
• Assist QA Supervisor to support Hold and Release Program for materials.
• Cross-train to QC tasks if necessary and perform other QC duties.
• Wear PPE and work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Work in a cold/wet environment (34–36 °F).
