Job summary

Fresh Express Salads is seeking a Raw Product Quality Inspector to oversee daily inspections of incoming raw product, monitor cooling/nitrogen flush procedures, and conduct audits from a quality and food safety perspective. The role ensures products meet specifications, and SOPs are followed during intake and release.

The ideal candidate will monitor key process indicators, document readings, and support R&D projects as needed, with exposure to outdoor environments and cold storage temperatures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift and perform repetitive motions.
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Proficient with MS Office: Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality checks on incoming raw materials to ensure specifications and FSQA guidelines are met.
• Ensure quality management procedures and systems are followed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to address issues and problem-solve.
• Collect data for quality scorecards and prepare reports.
• Assist R&D with projects as assigned.
• Ensure raw product harvesting complies with company specs.
• Conduct document retention sample programs.
• Record food safety checks on a digital tablet.
• Monitor cooling times and oxygen readings; report deviations.
