Job summary

Idaho Department of Insurance is seeking a Technical Records Specialist 2 to review and process insurance filings and policies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will explain requirements to customers and maintain electronic records in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have experience in property & casualty and health insurance, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• Experience monitoring record systems to identify and correct errors.
• Ability to interpret, explain, and apply laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical skills to research and resolve complex issues.
• Effective communication with customers in person, email, and phone.
• Accurate data entry into computerized records systems.
• Proven ability to compose and proofread business correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate and process records and documents.
• Determine acceptability or conformance to eligibility requirements and procedures.
• Explain requirements and processes to customers.
• Use independent judgment when processing workloads.
• Conduct searches to gather information for problem resolution.
• Update and manage electronic record systems.
• Develop reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in meetings and conference calls with agency partners.
