Job summary

The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation in Boise is seeking a Technical Records Specialist 2 to support the Registration/Reservation Team at the Headquarters Office. This role focuses on resolving complex issues, guiding registration activities, and training staff across Idaho.

You will work with internal staff and external partners to keep processes moving, handle customer inquiries, and contribute to ongoing program improvements, while taking ownership of assigned tasks and maintaining

Qualifications

• One year of work experience monitoring record systems to identify and correct errors.
• One year of work experience interpreting, explaining, and applying laws and policies for complex programs.
• One year of work experience analyzing information and researching sources to resolve issues.
• One year of work experience dealing with diverse individuals in stressful situations.
• One year of work experience composing and proofreading business correspondence.
• One year of work experience entering and retrieving data in computerized record systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and difficult program support functions for multiple or highly specialized programs including providing training and monitoring multiple data sources.
• Engage in collections of receivables using telephone and correspondence.
• Provide solutions outside existing policies and procedures when needed.
• Demonstrate problem solving and negotiation skills with authority to act on decisions.
• Serve as a program expert and provide guidance on complex rules and regulations to staff and external customers.
• Maintain frequent contact with internal and external customers and use good public relations skills.
• Operate with independence and discretion in applying policies and procedures.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of department programs and objectives.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of office functions and management.
