Job summary

Idaho Department of Water Resources in Twin Falls, ID, is seeking a Technical Records Specialist 1 to provide clerical, administrative, and records support for Southern Region staff. The role covers multiple programs including water rights, groundwater protection, and customer service, focusing on file management, data entry, and payment processing.

The position requires experience with records systems, data entry, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers;

Qualifications

• Experience monitoring a records system to identify and correct errors.
• Experience researching a variety of sources to resolve problems.
• Experience interpreting, explaining, and applying rules, regulations, laws, or complex policies to carry out assignments.
• Experience entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between Southern Region, other IDWR work units, and external customers.
• Scan, save, & file current documents; maintain and arrange for storage of historical files and documents.
• Answer phones, greet customers, respond to customer inquiries, and research customer questions regarding IDWR programs.
• Proofread, edit, and compose correspondence and other written materials, ensuring grammar and style guidelines are met.
• Assist with front desk coverage by answering phones and assisting walk-in customers.
• Perform general office and clerical support for regional staff, accept and receipt payments, and maintain office equipment.
