Job summary

PTC Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Patient Engagement Liaison to support rare disease communities, primarily PKU, and their caregivers. This field-based role involves building relationships with patient advocacy organizations and coordinating resources to improve access to therapies.

You will work across medical, communications, commercial, legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to country-specific guidelines while traveling up to 75% domestically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with experience in pharma or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, advocacy, medical, or related field.
• Experience supporting people with rare diseases, their caregivers and advocacy organizations.

Responsibilities

• Engages with the rare disease community, including patient advocacy organizations.
• Collaborate internally with other PTC teams to build relationships with rare disease communities.
• Assist the community with resources to help remove access barriers for marketed products.
• Build patient advocacy and community relationships for current and development-stage products.
• Work cross-functionally with medical, communications, commercial, legal and compliance teams to follow guidelines.
• Connect families to Patient Advocacy Organizations and resources.
• Develop, plan and execute educational programs for those living with rare diseases and caregivers.
• Support Patient Advocacy Organizations through shared educational interests and programs.
• Work with the rare disease community to advocate for access to care and therapies.
