Job summary

PTC Therapeutics is seeking a field-based Patient Engagement Liaison to support individuals living with rare diseases, primarily PKU, and their caregivers. You will work with patient advocacy organizations and internal teams to educate, remove access barriers, and build vital community relationships.

The role requires strong communication, planning and data-entry into CRM, with travel up to 75% domestically; salary ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 plus incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and 5+ years in pharma, biotech, advocacy, medical or related field.
• Experience supporting people with rare diseases, caregivers and advocacy organizations.
• Ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Engage with rare disease communities and patient advocacy organizations to understand experiences.
• Collaborate with internal teams to educate, build and leverage community relationships.
• Assist with resources to reduce access barriers for marketed products.
• Develop patient advocacy programs for current and upcoming therapies.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure country-specific guidelines and compliance.
• Connect families to Patient Advocacy Organizations and resources.
• Plan and deliver educational programs for patients and caregivers.
• Support advocacy organizations through shared education initiatives.
• Advocate for access to care and therapies within regulatory bounds.
