Job summary

Recordati Rare Diseases, Inc. (RRD) North America seeks a Rare Disease Account Manager to promote the oncology portfolio, identify key accounts, and establish partnerships with physicians, hospitals, and pharmacists in the assigned territory.

The role emphasizes building sustainable relationships with stakeholders, leveraging insights to facilitate access to Recordati medicines, and growing sales volume and market share across the territory. Significant travel is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years’ pharmaceutical experience.
• Rare diseases experience highly preferred. Niche/specialty experience required.
• Oncology experience highly desirable with established customer relationships and a track record of success.
• Bachelor’s degree required. Coursework or degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences or Medicine strongly preferred.
• Strong track record of sales success within the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industries
• Experience executing within regulatory framework (e.g., FDA, OIG and PhRMA guidelines)
• Prior consultative sales experience required.
• Small-company and/or start-up experience highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain expert knowledge of disease states, products and market trends within the US healthcare sector.
• Build productive relationships with physicians, hospitals and other stakeholders to generate revenue and awareness.
• Develop territory business plans and align with region and national objectives.
• Analyze sales reports and drive territory plans to increase sales.
• Track implementation of plans and identify gaps for remedial actions.
• Achieve or exceed market share and volume goals.
• Represent Recordati Rare Diseases at industry events to position as a trusted partner.
• Work cross-functionally to address concerns such as product quality, access, and reimbursement.
• Stay up to date on disease states, products and market trends in the US.
