Job summary

Amgen Inc. in the United States is seeking a Case Manager to oversee patient access issues related to insurance approvals, reauthorizations and reimbursement for therapies. You will coordinate with Regional Business Managers, Patient Access Liaisons and Medical Science Liaisons to ensure accurate status updates and efficient case flow.

Strong communication and knowledge of HIPAA are essential. Responsibilities include maintaining patient case histories, tracking eligibility and shipping,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree OR Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Case Management experience Or Associate’s degree and 6 years of Case Management experience Or High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Case Management experience
• Preferred: 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Two years of Case Manager experience (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and commitment to customer service
• Ability to manage multiple cases across geographies and time zones
• Excel and PowerPoint skills required

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day patient service issues with insurance, the specialty pharmacy, and patient support programs
• Interact with RBMs, PALs and MSLs to communicate status of insurance approvals and reauthorizations
• Case manage steps to gain access to therapy with hub, pharmacy, patients and families
• Report adverse events and product complaints to medical information
• Maintain case histories and track reimbursement and shipping status for US patients
• Triage and resolve reimbursement issues (PAs, denials, appeals, reauthorizations) and liaise with insurers and providers
