Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Case Manager to oversee day-to-day insurance approvals, patient access and reimbursement processes. You will coordinate with RBMs, PALs, hub teams and MSLs to ensure accurate communication on therapy access and status.

You will triage reimbursement challenges, document patient histories, and liaise with physicians to obtain authorizations while supporting patients through financial options and therapy access programs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Case Management experience or Associate’s degree and 6 years of Case Management experience or High school diploma/GED and 8 years of Case Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Daily interaction with RBMs, PALs and MSLs to ensure communication on insurance approvals and reauthorizations.
• Case manage all steps required to gain access to therapy with patients and families.
• Report adverse events and product complaints through medical information.
• Maintain case history for U.S. patients across hub, pharmacy, insurance, patient support programs, physicians and nurses.
• Triage and resolve reimbursement issues including denials, appeals and reauthorizations.
• Liaise with medical offices to obtain insurance authorizations and counsel patients on options.
