Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Rapid Response Team (RRT) Nurse for Night shift at Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center in Georgia. The RN will coordinate RRT assessments, prioritize interventions, and document outcomes while supporting patients, families, and staff across disciplines.

Required GA RN licensure (or eNLC privilege), 2+ years in critical care, and certifications (ACLS/BLS; NIHSS preferred). Excellent communication and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced, patient-centered

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing or nursing diploma; BSN preferred.
• Licensed as GA RN or eligible under eNLC.
• ACLS/BLS certifications required on hire.
• National critical care nursing certification preferred.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years nursing in a critical care setting.

Responsibilities

• Responds to RRT calls.
• Coordinates patient care during events including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of outcomes.
• Communicates with medical staff and other disciplines to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Intervenes in patient crisis to promote quality patient care.
• Documents assessment, interventions, and outcomes in patient medical record; SBAR documentation.
• Develops and implements clinical practice guidelines for RRT.
• Monitors patient outcomes and conducts follow-up as required.
• Educates patient, families or support system and staff pertaining to RRT.
• Complies with Wellstar policies and code of conduct.
