Job summary

Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center seeks a Night shift Rapid Response Team Nurse to coordinate RRT assessments, prioritize interventions, and ensure safe, age-appropriate patient care. The role involves documenting outcomes, communicating with the team, and supporting staff during emergencies.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a critical care setting, holds an RN license in Georgia (or eNLC), and meets ACLS/BLS requirements with strong communication and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Active RN license in Georgia or eNLC privilege to practice in Georgia.
• ACLS, BLS, and national critical care certification preferred or required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Responds to RRT calls and coordinates patient care during events.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes; uses SBAR communication.
• Collaborates with medical staff and departments to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educates patients and families; supports staff with RRT guidelines and practice.
• Monitors patient outcomes and conducts follow-up as required.
• Maintains patient safety and confidentiality; adheres to ethics and standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Nurse Manager.
