Job summary

The Rapid Response Team (RRT) Nurse at Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center is a registered nurse who coordinates RRT assessments, prioritizes interventions, and ensures safe, age-appropriate patient care during emergencies. This role serves as a resource to staff, patients, families and other departments.

Full-time, night shifts (3/12s, 36 hours per week) with opportunities to lead clinical practice guidelines, monitor outcomes, and participate in data collection and performance improvement.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing or a Diploma in Nursing; Bachelors preferred.
• Current Georgia RN license or eligibility under eNLC.

Responsibilities

• Responds to RRT calls.
• Coordinates patient care during events including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of outcomes.
• Communicates with medical staff, nursing staff, other disciplines and departments as required.
• Intervenes in patient crisis to promote quality patient care.
• Documents assessment, interventions, and outcomes in patient medical record with SBAR.
• Develops and implements clinical practice guidelines for RRT.
