Job summary

Wellstar Health System's Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center is seeking a Rapid Response Team (RRT) Nurse. This RN role works nights, coordinates rapid response assessments, prioritizes interventions, and ensures timely, evidence-based patient care.

You will document actions, communicate with physicians and nursing staff, and educate patients and families. Requires active Georgia RN license, ACLS/BLS, and a minimum of two years in a critical care setting.

Qualifications

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Georgia RN license required; eNLC eligibility preferred.
• ACLS/BLS certifications required on hire; specialty certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Respond to RRT calls and coordinate patient care during events.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record (SBAR).
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge needs.
• Develop and implement RRT practice guidelines and monitor outcomes.
• Support staff, mentor peers, and participate in performance improvement.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing

Diploma or Bachelor's in Nursing preferred
