Job summary

The Rapid Response Team (RRT) Registered Nurse at UCI Health coordinates Code Blue and Rapid Response Team assessments, prioritizes patient needs, and responds to Code Stroke calls. You will facilitate urgent nursing care, perform Point of Care Ultrasounds, ABGs, iSTAT, and intraosseous access, while guiding physicians and staff to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must hold CA RN license and maintain current.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• CCR N or TCRN upon hire and maintain current.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher.
• Minimum five years of recent clinical nursing experience in ICU or ED.
• Minimum two years of recent experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Code Blue and Rapid Response Team assessments and prioritization.
• Respond to rapid response alerts and facilitate urgent nursing care.
• Utilize Point of Care Ultrasounds, iSTAT, ABGs, and intraosseous access as needed.
• Serve as clinical resource for physicians and staff and evaluate patient deterioration scores.
