Job summary
UCI Health in California is seeking a Rapid Response Team (RRT) Registered Nurse to coordinate Code Blue and rapid response assessments, respond to alerts, and provide advanced nursing care during clinical deterioration, including Point of Care Ultrasounds, iSTAT labs, ABGs, and intraosseous access.
You will act as a clinical resource for physicians and staff, contribute to guideline development, data collection and education, and ensure safe, culturally sensitive patient care.
Qualifications
- Must have a current CA RN license and maintain current
- Must have a current BLS and ACLS and maintain current
- CCRN or TCRN upon hire and maintain current
- All external candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or above
- Minimum five years of recent clinical nursing experience in ICU or ED
- Minimum two years of recent experience in an acute care setting
Responsibilities
- Coordinate Code Blue and Rapid Response Team assessment
- Respond to rapid response alerts and facilitate nursing care during deterioration
- Perform Point of Care Ultrasounds, iSTAT, ABGs and intraosseous access
- Develop practice guidelines, data collection, and education
- Evaluate patient scoring for deterioration and participate in surveillance rounding
