Job summary

Kaweah Health in Visalia, California, is seeking a Rapid Response Nurse to join the Rapid Response Team. This full-time, night-shift role requires CA RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and rapid assessment skills to lead multidisciplinary teams in crisis situations.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in critical care and may pursue CCRN within a year. The RN will respond to Code Blue, RRT, Sepsis, Trauma, and Stroke alerts, document care, and participate in quality improvement.

Qualifications

• CA RN License required.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• NIHSS stroke certification within 60 days of hire/transfer.
• Crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer.
• CCRNs within one year of hire/transfer (preferred: TNCC).
• BSN/MSN or RN-BSN program preferred.
• Minimum two years RN experience in Critical Care.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Code Blue, RRT, Sepsis, Trauma, and Stroke alerts.
• Lead the Rapid Response Team to stabilize and transfer patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff using SBAR.
• Document interventions and provide debriefings for staff education.
• Participate in quality improvement and data collection for patient outcomes.
• Provide patient advocacy and ensure confidentiality and ethical care.
