Job summary

UCI Health, part of the University of California, Irvine, is seeking a Rapid Response Team (RRT) Registered Nurse to coordinate Code Blue and rapid response activities across ICU/ED settings. The role involves bedside assessment, advanced nursing interventions, and acting as a clinical resource for physicians and staff.

Qualifications include a CA RN license, BLS/ACLS, CCRN or TCRN on hire, a Bachelor’s in Nursing or higher, and 5+ years of ICU/ED experience with 2+ years in acute care.

Qualifications

• Must hold CA RN license and maintain current.
• BLS and ACLS certification current.
• CCRN or TCRN certification upon hire.
• Minimum five years ICU or ED nursing experience.
• Minimum two years in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Code Blue and Rapid Response Team assessments.
• Respond to rapid response alerts and ensure timely nursing care.
• Perform Point of Care Ultrasounds, iSTAT, ABGs, and IO insertion.
• Develop practice guidelines, data collection, and staff education.
• Evaluate patient deterioration and surveillance rounding.
