Job summary

UCI Health in Orange County seeks a Rapid Response Team (RRT) Registered Nurse to coordinate Code Blue and rapid response assessments and respond to stroke calls. You will facilitate urgent nursing care, perform advanced interventions, and act as a clinical resource for physicians and staff.

The role requires CA RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, CCRN or TCRN on hire, a Bachelor’s in Nursing, and at least five years in ICU/ED with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• RN license in California (CA RN) and current certification requirements.
• Minimum five years of recent clinical nursing experience in ICU or ED.
• CCRN or TCRN upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Code Blue and Rapid Response Team assessment and prioritization.
• Respond to rapid response alerts; facilitate appropriate nursing care for urgent deterioration.
• Evaluate patient scoring for potential deterioration and contribute to surveillance rounds.
• Develop practice guidelines, collect data, and participate in education and evaluation of care.
