Job summary

Hagerty Consulting, Inc. seeks an Independent Contractor for the Response Division on an on-call basis. Candidates must be able to deploy within 24 to 72 hours of notice and stay on-site for at least 30 days, coordinating with ESFs and partner agencies to meet incident objectives.

The role builds a talent pipeline for future openings across emergency response functions and offers opportunities to contribute to critical crisis management efforts nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years of professional experience; 6 years may substitute for the degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
• Experience with incident management and emergency operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative guidance translating regulations into actionable strategies.
• Develop SITREPs, work plans, and documents ensuring policy compliance.
• Serve as liaison between partners and leadership, provide status updates during the response.
• Create incident action plans and translate high-level strategy into tactical tasks.
• Support EOC/JFO operations to ensure continuous and smooth activities.
