Job summary

Tectonic Engineering Consultants, Geologists & Land Surveyors, DPC is seeking experienced Office Engineers (Rail Transit & NYCT) for full-time, on-site work in Forest Hills, NY. Join a team working on NYC Transit, Metro-North, LIRR, and other major rail projects with focus on document control and coordination.

Applicants should have at least 3 years of rail transit experience, a relevant diploma or degree, and professional certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of rail transit project experience and maintaining project records.
• HS Diploma or equivalent with one of the listed certifications or a BS degree.
• Strong organization, communication, and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Document control, submittal tracking, and file management.
• Prepare meeting minutes, letters, and project correspondences.
• Review inspector daily reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with contractor and owner staff to expedite submittals.
• Track insurance submissions and expiration dates.
• Monitor MBE/WBE/DBE/SDVOB utilization reporting.
• Track trainings and assist with change order scopes of work.
• Assist with monthly progress reports and project meetings.
• Support Resident Engineer and Project Manager to close out the project.
