Job summary

Tectonic Engineering is seeking experienced, full-time Project Managers for upcoming rail transit projects, including NYC Transit, Metro North, LIRR, and NJ Transit. The position is on-site in Forest Hills, NY, with a focus on managing scope, schedule, budget, and safety across multiple projects.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of management experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and a preference for PE/RA/CCM credentials. Travel to sites and occasional nights/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant management and project leadership experience.
• Experience with design-build and/or construction projects within operating rail transit systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to travel to project sites; valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality of multiple rail transit projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate engineering and inspection services; maintain client and subcontractor relationships; generate status reports.
• Review design documents and perform constructability reviews; ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Oversee project team and act as owners’ representative in meetings and negotiations.
• Review meetings minutes, proposals, invoices, and purchase orders; visit project sites as needed.
