Job summary

Watco Transloading LLC is hiring a Track Laborer to safely inspect, repair, and maintain railroad track infrastructure, ensuring reliable service for customers. This is a hands-on, physical role requiring training and adherence to safety standards.

You will assist with loading, unloading and installation of rail components, inspect turnouts and roadbeds, and report issues in a timely manner. On-the-job training and Watco's development programs support growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older with High School or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to pass and/or obtain required safety training and certifications (Track Ground School; FRA General Code of Operating Rules written test; Roadway Worker Protection; Fall Protection; MOW safety; MSHA/OSHA training if required).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and maintain railroad track infrastructure and components safely and efficiently.
• Assist with loading/unloading and installation of rail and track materials.
• Inspect, maintain and repair track turnouts, switches and roadbeds.
• Read gauges, measuring instruments, schematics and manuals accurately.
• Report issues promptly and follow safety rules and company procedures.
• Operate equipment such as backhoe and track hoe as required.
