Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Chicago, IL seeks a Field Service Technician to support all phases of service and maintenance for our Charger locomotives. You will assist with customer training and propose best maintenance techniques on site.

The role requires safety-minded work practices and coordination with engineering, dispatch, and rail operations teams. The ideal candidate has an associate degree in electrical technology or 2+ years of electrical/mechanical experience, plus the ability to troubleshoot

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in electrical technology or equivalent technical field.
• Minimum 2 years electrical/mechanical industrial experience.
• Experience interpreting electrical schematics and drawings.
• Excellently demonstrated English language technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality technical advice to the customer's maintenance workforce to improve equipment reliability.
• Assist troubleshooting and repairs for Charger locomotives in service requests.
• Deliver ongoing system operation training for the customers.
• Coordinate with Rail Support Center and field team for effective communication.
• Work with third-party vendors to ensure proper operation of locomotive components.
