Job summary

Trinity Industries, Inc. and its RSI Logistics division are seeking a Freight Payment Coordinator to manage freight accruals and related payment processes for rail shipments. The role focuses on accuracy, timely invoicing, and data integrity.

You will identify tariff rates, verify payer of freight via EDI, and generate ad hoc reports while maintaining strong communication with internal teams. A minimum of 2 years in rail operations, freight payment or accounting is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in rail operations, freight payment or accounting.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• General understanding of accounting practices.
• System savvy (ERP or Rail TMS experience highly preferred).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify empty and tariff rates as needed and upload into database.
• Utilize EDI 404/417 to confirm Payer of Freight as needed.
• Manage accrual without invoice exceptions.
• Resolve accrual and invoice non-match exceptions. Dispute as needed.
• Create ad hoc reports.
