Job summary

RSI Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Freight Payment Coordinator to manage the rail freight accrual process and related activities.

The role focuses on ensuring accurate accruals, confirming Payer of Freight via EDI, and generating ad hoc reports to support freight accounting operations. Qualified candidates will have 2+ years in rail operations, freight payment, or accounting, with a preferred Bachelor's degree and strong ERP/Rail TMS familiarity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in rail operations, freight payment or accounting.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• General understanding of accounting practices.
• System savvy (prior ERP experience or Rail TMS experience highly preferred).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify empty and tariff rates and upload into database.
• Utilize EDI 404/417 to confirm Payer of Freight as needed.
• Manage accrual without invoice exceptions.
• Resolve accrual and invoice non-match exceptions. Dispute as needed.
• Create ad hoc reports.
